Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We attempt to develop an EEG-based brain-computer communication system (BCCS) for patients with severe motor disorders. In the precedent study, we examined the method using the image (visual stimulus), and also the electrical stimulation method (somatosensory stimulus) to fingers. In this study, we examined the influence of discrimination performance using hybrid stimulation by presenting these stimuli at the same time. As result, discrimination performance was significantly improved in some subjects. It was suggested that hybrid stimulation is effective in improving discrimination performance.
