Study on Overreach Propagation by Tropospheric Ducting in Terrestrial Digital TV Broadcastings

(in English) In the terrestrial digital TV broadcasting systems the same channel has been reused in neighboring areas. Therefore, it is important to understand the overreach propagation of the same channel TV waves, which can be cause of the interferences. In this study, we have been studying measurement methods which can evaluate the interference level of the overreach propagation and identify the source of the interference by simultaneously measuring both TV and FM broadcasting waves. Here we measured there broadcasting waves in different environment, where the broadcasting waves propagated over the land area or the sea area. The results verified that we could measure the overreach propagation of digital TV waves in both environments by measuring FM waves.
