Ultrashort optical pulse generation and repetition rate tunability in MZM-based flat comb generator with soliton compression

(in English) We report on ultrashort optical pulses using a Mach-Zehnder-modulator-based flat comb generator(MZM-FCG) and dispersion-flattened dispersion-decreasing fiber. 1 ps pulses generated by using the MZM-FCG were compressed into ultrashort pulses of 80 fs by soliton compression. In addition, we demonstrated our femtosecond pulse source has frequency tunability in the range between 10 and 18 GHz.
