Subband-based Interference Mitigation Processing for Passive Bistatic Radar

(in English) Range sidelobes of direct signal and clutter degrade a target detection performance in passive bistatic radar. In this paper, new cross-correlation processing with interference cancelling ability is proposed. Proposed method mitigates direct signal and clutter simultaneously in frequency domain during FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) -based cross-correlation process. Furthermore to combat with practical situation where channel mismatch between the surveillance and reference channel is unavoidable, the proposed method can naturally extend to subband-based interference mitigation processing. Computer simulation results are included to highlight performance of the proposed method under channel mismatch condition. Proposed method with 64 subband achieves 18.4 dB SINR improvement for 0.1 dB amplitude mismatch and 2.5 deg phase mismatch.
