| (in English) | The technical committee on software radio (TCSR) in IEICE launches 5-year plan of strategies to achieve “enjoyable technical committee”, “fruitful conference”, and “profitable wireless business”. The TCSR not only discusses about ideal conditions but also performs measures to improve activities of TCSR. This is a small activity just in one technical committee, however we believe these activities can be expanded to IEICE conferences and also to overall wireless societies. The 5-year plan consists of six measures: 1) change the name of technical committee; 2) plan a workshop to promote cooperation among government, industry, and academia; 3) change the technical committee to be open and international; 4) to promote education and social harmonization of young engineers and students; 5) change organization of technical committee to be wide and strong, 6) promote harmonization between different technical committees working in wireless fields. In the session, the overall plan and current status of the strategies are reported. We’d like to revise the plan and add new strategies based on comments given in the panel discussion. | |
