| (in English) | In medical fields, a medical staff often inspects by auscultation, whether patient lung sounds contain an abnormal sound caused by sputum or not. This makes the task of medical staff increase in proportion to the number of patients. In order to reduce the task, there are some researches about automatic lung sound analysis. In this study, aiming to improve the performance of the analysis, we propose a method to reduce heart sounds and ambient noises observed in lung sounds obtained by electronic stethoscope. Heart sounds are removed from lung sounds using the characteristics of heart sounds: periodicity and pulsiveness. Ambient (environmental) noises are also reduced employing a spectral subtraction (SS) method. We conducted experiments using recorded lung sounds by electronic stethoscope, finally evaluating the propose method by subjective evaluations and the accuracy of respiratory section detection. | |
