Proposal of a grouping method for mobile devices using similarity of WiFi scan results

(in English) Recently, smartphone users purchasing tablet or some wearable appliances as the second mobile device are increasing. For this circumstance, the providers such as mobile operators strive to sell their in-house products by providing the users the advertisement related to the possession and the usage of mobile devices for the user. In order to provide the advertisement appropriate for each user, it is important to investigate the group of mobile devices each user possesses. The existing works which collect the group of mobile devices per user use the context information such as location information collected by GPS and Bluetooth device discovery information. These works groups the mobile devices per user by identifying the devices which indicate high similarity of context information. However, the works have shortcoming that they are likely to misidentify the group due to the occurrence of high similarity with devices which are possessed by other users at the places crowded by many users. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new grouping method for mobile devices. Our method uses context information collected in the long run. And our method groups of the mobile devices with the context information which shows high similarity. We describe the result of preliminary experiments which show the effectiveness of our method.
