Consideration on Transmission Characteristics of Embedded Type of High Permittivity Transmission Line at Millimeter-wave Bands

(in English) The embedded type of high permittivity transmission line which shows a low loss characteristics in a flat dispersion bands and is hardly influenced from the loss tangent of the high permittivity material was focused on for creating low loss transmission lines in millimeter-wave bands in this paper. The Duroid material and the other high permittivity materials were embedded into the low permittivity material support and they were sandwiched by the metal plates. First, the dispersion characteristics were calculated while changing the width of high permittivity material. According to these results, it was obvious that the single mode transmission band of the LSE-like mode widened as the width of high permittivity material widened. Next, the characteristics were analyzed while changing the thickness of the high permittivity material similarly. In addition, the 180 degrees bend was considered by taking into account the bending structure.
