A Visualization of Real-Time Micro Climate Data Affecting Heatstroke in Tatebayashi City

(in English) Abnormal extreme weather, e.g., guerrilla rainstorm, extreme heat, occurs frequently in recent years. In Japan, Gunma prefecture is one of the most heat areas, where heat strokes happen more frequently. It is very urgent to take actions to prevent heat strokes since the children who are doing sports and the elderly tend to be stroked by heat. In this work, we visualize the climate data in real-time to the citizen, which aims to draw people’s attention to preventing from heat stroke.
In this work, we set up a sensor network approved by JMA in the elementary school, Tatebayashi, Gunma. It collects the climate data, and we developed a system on the smartphone to visualize the climate data.
