Observation of Temperature Changes of Carbon Nanotube Doped Epoxy Resin under Millimeter-Wave Irradiation

(in English) Recently, carbon nanotube (CNT) is attractive material as radio wave absorber for microwave and millimeter-wave. In this paper, we fabricated the samples of two-liquid mixing epoxy resin with carbon nanotube, due to add absorptive property to polymer materials. We measured the transmittance of samples in 90GHz band. The millimeter-wave transmittance is confirmed to decrease to about 10~20% at most. Moreover, we tried to observe temperature changes of samples with thermo-chromic liquid crystal sheet under millimeter-wave irradiation. It was confirmed that temperatures rising of samples probably are caused by absorption of millimeter-wave. And then, color-changes of thermo-chromic liquid crystal could be observed by temperature rising of samples.
