We design a switched-current (SI) chaotic neuron integrated circuit, which is suitable for a large-size analog/digital hybrid hardware system, for quadratic assignment problems based on the chaotic tabu search algorithm.
The prototype test chip contains a total of 60 different SI chaotic neuron circuits with different MOSFET aspect ratio settings, load capacitors and so on, to evaluate the characteristics of the circuit such as clock feed-through effects and frequency responses.
In addition, we propose a compact circuit to externally control the decay factor for the tabu effect.
The chip is designed with the TSMC 0.18 $mu$m CMOS technology.
The largest size of the chaotic neuron is 56 $mu$m $times$ 108 $mu$m.
The nominal operation clock frequency is 100 MHz. |
