Throughput Analysis of PNC Cooperative Relay over Frequency Selective Fading Channels

(in English) In this manuscript, the throughput of physical layer network coding (PNC) cooperative relay over frequency selective fading channels is analyzed with computer simulations. In synchronized wireless distribution networks, it is expected by applying PNC cooperative relay that the throughput of decode-and-forward (DF) relay is improved.Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) complied with IEEE 802.11n legacy mode (LM) is employed as a modulation method. Under the network synchronized assumption, the frame error rate (FER) of network coded frame is evaluated with low density parity check (LDPC) code optional for IEEE 802.11n as physical layer error correcting codes. In the 5 GHz pathloss model, the throughput is derived from FER. As a result, this manuscript provides a range that PNC cooperative relay has higher throughput than the conventional relay and MAC layer network coding (MNC).
