| (in English) | This paper describes the performance evaluation of an indoor positioning system using Wireless LAN and Bluetooth. First, a Wireless LAN positioning system using Bluetooth transmitters for limitation of an area of positioning is studied. The examinations were carried out when the distance between the Bluetooth transmitters were set for 5 to 25 meter at a floor of the building in the author’s university. As the result of the examination, it is shown that the positioning error of the Wireless LAN positioning system is decreased with narrowing the distance between the Bluetooth transmitters. Second, positioning systems with two kinds of scene analysis using Wireless LAN and Bluetooth is studied. One is the mixture type positioning system using received information from Wireless LAN access points and Bluetooth transmitters. Another is the average type positioning system using positioning results from Wireless LAN and Bluetooth positioning schemes. It is shown that the mixture type and average type positioning system is superior to the conventional positioning system using Wireless LAN and Bluetooth. | |
