This report presents results of a preliminary study of the MicroXSAR mission using Small Demonstration Satellite (SDS) bus system technologies. We have started development of a small synthetic aperture radar (SAR) that is compatible with 100 kg class small satellites having 3–10 m ground resolution and multi-polarization, aiming for constellation SAR observations. This technology enables us to realize high-frequency SAR observations with observation intervals of only several hours. As described herein, we present an integrated design result for this SAR system to a 100-kgh class bus system. |
