Microwave pulse Doppler radar systems are useful tools for airplane position and velocity estimation in all-weather situations. In this application, there is a serious problem that the Doppler spectrum of target is buried into that of clutter such as clouds because of the Doppler velocity ambiguity caused by lower pulse repetition frequency
(PRF). To address with this problem, this paper proposes a novel target detection method based on incident component analysis (ICA) scheme. The results from numerical simulation show the effectiveness of our proposed method, compared with those obtained by the conventional principal component analysis (PCA) based method. |
