Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper explains the details of the Japan’s first base station antenna that is compatible with five frequency bands and clarifies the requirements for the latest mobile base station antennas. This paper also shows the performance of 4x4 MIMO with vertically split array and small cells within heterogeneous network which are promising techniques for increasing the capacity and the throughput in the LTE-Advanced. Finally, we discuss the direction of the antenna development for the future.
