[Poster Presentation] Evaluation of the phase correlation between the optical pulses for transmission in quantum key distribution at 10 GHz

(in English) Quantum key distribution (BB84) using a weak coherent state light source have been shown secure on the assumption that the phase correlation does not exist between the optical pulses for transmission. We used an asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer and evaluated quantitatively the phase correlation using visibility of the interference fringe between adjacent pulses. We experimentally confirmed that the phase correlation does not appear between optical pulses even at 10 GHz clock frequency if the DC bias current value of gain-switched operation is sufficiently small.
