Methods for analyzing vibration characteristics of distributed mode loudspeakers

(in English) The Distributed Mode Loudspeaker(DML) is one of panel speakers.The DML provides acoustic radiation by bending vibration of its plate generated by the applied force of its exciter.
The finite element method(FEM) for plate bending problems is employed to analyze the bending vibration of the plate of the DML.
In order to improve accuracy of prediction of measured results, alternative supported conditions of the plate of the DML are proposed: One is the boundary condition expressed by the mechanical impedance including one translational spring and two rotational springs; The other is the boundary supported by 3-dimensional elastic bodies.
Moreover, the internal sound field in the enclosure of the DML is regarded as a spatially uniform sound field, and then we construct FEM-based numerical methods for calculating the bending vibration of the plate of the DML with its internal sound field as a vibro-acoustic system.
We show that analysis results by the consequent numerical methods are approximate to measured results of a real DML.
