| (in English) | We improved a ring-structured graphical search interface and developed an iPhone application for application search named “Wonder Search”. We used 23 categories provided by iTunes store and crawled top 50 applications in each category. Our proposed interface was like a planisphere and provided flexible search for multi-faceted metadata. We prepared five attributes to use as search facets such as category, user evaluation and feature color of icons. Usability testing with 60 participants demonstrated that users can use this application not only for searching for applications but also for analyzing the features of applications. This search interface has also the potential to be used for sensing the emotions of users if the hypothesis that the colors browsed or selected by users are related to their feelings is correct. | |
