Dynamic analysis of ECG-gated cardiac CT image using periodicity-aware FFD

(in English) We analyze motions of myocardium in ECG-gated cardiac CT image. In previous works, deformation of the heart was estimated by performing a non-rigid registration sequentially for each phase.Since this model does not consider periodicity of cardiac muscle motion,problems occurs such as discontinuity between the first and the final phases,and noncyclic deformations.In this study, the motion of the hart is modeled by representing temporal movements of control points by Fourier series.By obtaining the coefficients that minimize the difference between the CT values of the input data and the deformed model, motion estimation considering the periodicity is performed.Thus, an accurate estimation of harts with continuities and periodicities is achieved.
