| (in English) | The Kamioka underground research complex is located at Hida, Gifu, Japan. In this complex, there are several world-leading scientific experiment facilities, such as Super-Kamiokande, the world-largest detector to study neutrinos and proton decay, KamLAND, the world-largest scintillation detector to study neutrinos and double beta decays, and XMASS, a new detector to study dark matter. The network systems of each facility are connected to the Kamioka SINET4 node at Kamioka Observatory, ICRR, the University of Tokyo. In this talk, we report the network usage in KamLAND, which has been operated mainly by the Research Center for Neutrino Science, Tohoku University, with focusing on the history, improvements, the actual method of the large-capacity data transfer, and dedicated application software developed by the KamLAND Collaboration are explained. We also report usage of the SINET network by other experiments in the Kamioka facility, as well as their facing issues and future prospects. |
