Recently, phenomenon called Stochastic Resonance was found in a nonlinear system, and has been applied for many researches in various fields. In this study, we have verified that Stochastic Resonance appeared in CT images by adding white-Gaussian noise to CT images. Furthermore, we have also evaluated relationship between contrast and noise intensity added to CT images, and found the suitable noise intensity which maximizes the contrast resolution in CT images. |
