In heterogeneous networks on LTE-Advanced, picocell and femtocell are incorporated inside macrocell
which is a typical cell layout, to enhance the frequency utilization. However, the co-channel interference between marco and picocell/femtocell is one of important issues when the same frequency band is used between these systems. We have already clarified how the interference from the femto(macro) cell affects on the macro(femto) cell in an actual propagation environment. In this report, we compare the pathloss, small fading effect and indoor penetration loss between measured results and results which are obtained by ray-tracing method. From this comparison, we clafiry the possibility of WINNER II model which is used in the propgation model in heterogeneous networks. |
