Development and Practice at an Elementary School of a Kanji Handwriting Learning Support System for Dysgraphia Children

(in English) In this study, we have been developing a Kanji learning support system with a handwriting interface for dysgraphia children. For performing the guidance in accordance with the degree of the writing difficulty, we have implemented functions of automatically evaluation of stroke order, showing stroke order to the model and kana (pronunciation of Kanji) and switching between display and non-display of the model. In addition, to collect data for each user, we have implemented a function of managing user's learning histories. In order to evaluate the learning system, we have the system continue to use for the learning of dysgraphia children in an elementary school and collect learning data and handwriting data.
