| (in English) | To provide good service quality over mobile networks, which do not usually guarantee QoS, monitoring the Quality of Experience is indispensable. Conventionally, providers perform the radio transmission performance measurement using “drive tests.” There are many users’ community and articles that report the up-to-date quality of mobile services. These are mainly based on the through-put measurement using so-called “speed-test sites.” However, we think that such measurements do not represent the actual user-perceived quality. In this study, we carried out field measurements of quality for mobile video-delivery services such as YouTube, and investigate the relationship between through-put measurement and application quality. | |
