In hepato-biliary-pancreatic region, it is required to find a solid cancer formed in those organs and treat it less-invasively and highly accurately. Aiming at realizing such a treatment, the authors are developing imaging technologies and devices used in diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment phases. The project includes some specific subjects such as organ segmentation, measurement, prediction and modeling of organ deformation due to posture or respiration, imaging technologies of tissue characteristics such as elasticity and acoustic characteristics, enlargement of field of view in laparoscope, fusion of laparoscope and ultrasound images, use of stereo X-ray fluoroscope for interventional radiology. Outline of the project and some specific subjects are presented in the lecture. |
