Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, the pedestrian positioning system based on UWB(Ultra Wide Band) ranging is proposed and its basic
characteristic is analyzed. In the proposed system, the movements of pedestrians are monitored by the base stations placed at the road sides.
In this paper, positioning performance against pedestrians is evaluated by computer simulation assuming the operation at the crossings. As
the result, it was confirmed that the proposed UWB ranging scheme can achieve the sufficient precision. Moreover, the scheme of packet
transmission to increase the successful transmission based on the slotted ALOHA scheme is proposed.
