Evaluation of Synchronized Method of Timeslot with time distribution in Optical Layer-2 Switch Network

(in English) We are developing an optical layer-2 switch network (OL2SW-NW) that can efficiently aggregate traffic in a large-scale metro NW. The OL2SW-NW is based on WDM/TDM ring NWs of L WDM channels. This allows the bandwidth of wavelengths in the NW to be shared with the ground paths between aggregation switches on the access NW and IP Edges on the core NW. It is necessary to adjust the timing of timeslot between each node in the OL2SW-NW. In this paper, we propose the method of synchronization of timeslot with control signals which is separated from data signals by applying the synchronization method of PON system. We evaluate the accuracy of synchronization of timeslot by using a prototype system.
