Consideration of Relation of Path Prediction and Branch Prediction in Loops

(in English) We focus on Two-Path Limited Speculation method and evaluated path prediction accuracy with some path predictors.
Prediction accuracy of path to be executed next is very important on Two-Path Limited Speculation method.
We have selected some proven methods for branch prediction and applied them to path predictors.
Direction of branch instruction varies path on a iteration.
Thus we consider the relation between branch prediction and path prediction in a program which exhibits low path prediction performance, by comparing the control flow graphs and the mis-prediction ratio per iteration in the program.
As a result, it has been revealed that path predictors require more information rather than past path history in order to realize efficient path prediction.
