| (in English) | Some papers investigated the channel assignment by using actual environments and the relationships between channel assignments and total throughput. However, it is difficult to investigate the effect of interference in a lot of situations by using actual environments. Because the interferences between multiple WLANs depend on a lot of factors. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between the throughput of transport protocols (UDP and TCP) and channel assignments by considering interference in a lot of situations. This study proposes a simple model that considers only overlapping of channels for basic evaluations. We evaluate the performance of transport protocols over the proposed model. As a result, it is found that the trends of simulation results are same as the one of actual environments. In addition, we found that the exposed node problem could be occurred by the channel assignment. It causes the unfairness of throughput between WLAN systems. |
