Proposal of Multi-path Connection Method for Wide Area Layer 2 Networks

(in English) We study a multi-path connection method to prevent loop failure and duplication transfer for interconnecting Wide Area Layer 2 Networks with multiple paths. In this paper, we show that there is a problem to duplication transfer prevention in the case of interconnecting bridged Ethernet networks, and propose the multi-path connection method employs Layer 2 Routing (L2R) on network gateways between a bridged Ethernet network and a L2R network. We confirmed that the proposed method prevents loop failure and duplication transfer and reduce the delay due to bypass of traffic compared to conventional method with over simple loop structure across interconnected networks.
