| (in English) | Signal attenuation is a serious problem of the conventional Narrowband Power-line Communication (NB-PLC) system, which has used neutral and live (N-L) lines. To solve this problem, a new signal transmission system using neutral and protective earth (N-PE) lines has been proposed by the authors, and it had been shown that the system worked well at outlets connected to the same trunk cable. In this paper, the proposed system has been applied to two power-line environments. One was an environment where outlets were connected to different trunk cables. It has been shown that the proposed system achieved 24dB improvement of the attenuation. Another environment was an earth system used in Hawaii which is called TN-S system. It has been shown that the proposed system worked effectively also under the TN-S system. | |
