[Poster Presentation] Quantum Superposition of Crystalline structure in Linear Paul Trap

(in English) Trapped ions in linear Paul trap form two dimensional coulomb crystal, called zigzag crystals, with weak RF potential.
Such zigzag crystals have two degenerated states according to the symmetry of the potential.
Although such crystals feel inescapable micro motion, we succeed in cooling certain modes of that crystals to quantum regime using sideband cooling technique.
Using this technique, we convey the two degenerated crystals to the quantum world and observe the quantum tunneling of these two degenerate coulomb crystals.
