In this paper, we propose an automated method to assess small bowel motility function based on an Inter-frame Difference method with cine-MRI. The total Inter-frame Difference in a certain time interval is proportional to frequency and intensity of the small bowel motility. In order to remove the dependence on the intensity of the small bowel, we newly proposed an intensity-normalized Inter-frame Difference method. The experiment results show that our Normalized Inter-frame Differences method can get reasonable results. |
