Personal identification using gait pattern obtained from a load sensor
Keima Nasu, Juhyon Kim, Kazuki Nakajima (Univ. of Toyama) MBE2013-4
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Sensor systems that automatically obtain the physiological data in the toilet and bathroom have been developed. If the person who measures the physiological data has cohabiters, the physiological data that obtained by these sensors have to be classified individually. However, it is difficult for user to actively cooperate. Therefore, we measured the center of gravity trajectory and load by a load sensor. We used two features that were the center of gravity trajectory and load changes to personal identification while user is unconscious. We calculated a Euclidean distance between the registration data and the test data. Personal identification was achieved by a nearest neighbor algorithm. Recognition rate is improved from 75.0% to 83.6% using by both a shift of the center of gravity trajectory and an improvement of the evaluation function.
