This paper presents high-resolution DOA estimation method by Variable Step Size (VSS) GROUSE algorithm in low-cost array antenna receiver system.
In low-cost array antenna receiver system with less receiver modules than antenna elements, DOA estimation accuracy is often degraded due to the unobserved array signal data.
GROUSE algorithm can interpolate such signal data and improve DOA estimation accuracy, however the effective value of the step size in GROUSE algorithm is very much different from each SNR.
The proposed VSS GROUSE algorithm enables high resolution DOA estimation for various values of SNRs. |
