Transparent conducting oxide (TCO) film is one of the main components in a dye
sensitized solar cell. One of the main disadvantages in using these TCO films in the
recombination of photo-generated current from the TCO material back to the
semiconductor and to the electrolyte. To overcome this, the surface of the TCO film was
modified by spraying a thin SnO2 layer on to the fluorine doped tin oxide TCO film
using an improved spray pyrolysis deposition method. The power conversion efficiency
was improved from 5.57% to 5.97%. |
