Method of measuring radiated disturbances at 3m distance using biconi-log antennas -- Radiation souce of half wavelength dipole --

(in English) Biconi-log antenna is widely used for EMI measurement at distance of 10m because it can be measured an electric field strength from 30MHz to 1GHz. However, when the antenna is applied to the measurement at distance of 3m, the distance between the radiation source and biconi-log antenna may cause measurement errors. In this report, the relation between the measured level of a half wavelength dipole antenna and that of biconi-log antenna is evaluated for full anechoic room. The NEC2, which is an analysis tool using the method of moments, was used for investigation. In addition, in order to evaluate the validity of the wire model, we measured the relations by using a full anechoic chamber. As a result, the measurement results almost agreed with the analysis results. This means that the wire model used the investigation is appropriate. In addition, the results suggested that we should change the distance from the transmitting antenna within 75cm in frequency range of 30MHz ~ 1GHz in order to measure the same level of a half wavelength dipole antenna by a biconi-log antenna.
