Target Track Extraction in High False Density Environments by using Multiple Hypothetical Frame Selection MLPDA

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Maximum Likelihood Probabilistic Data Association (MLPDA) has been shown as an effective target track extraction algorithm in high false density environments. However, the conventional MLPDA cannot give full performances when the target signals are lost in several frames. In this paper, we propose enhanced MLPDA which offers multiple hypotheses of frame selection to assume whether each frame includes the target signal or not. The track is extracted under the most-likely frame selection hypothesis, and several hypotheses with relatively high likelihoods are retained.
