RAKE Combining Reception Performance of Narrowband DS-SS Transmission in Fading Environment

(in English) When we communicate by radio with spread spectrum, it is necessary for us to make the bandwidth narrower not to affect the adjacent band. In this paper, we studied about narrow band DS-SS transmission for which we used M-sequences as its spread code. The spread code uses the sequence having “preferred pairs” to suppress the cross-correlation. We evaluated the bit error rate of RAKE combining reception under frequency selective fading
environment. As the result, computer simulation shows that the BER is just 0.5dB degraded from that of the ideal matched filter reception without band limitation.
