An Experimental Performance Evaluation of Pattern and Space MIMO Antennas in Indoor Propagation Environments

(in English) This paper shows 2 GHz band experimental results for performance evaluation of MIMO antennas in an indoor base site that are located in center of a room. The performance of directivity MIMO antennas is compared with that of Space MIMO antennas under 2x2 MIMO transmission, which transmitting site is constructed as space MIMO with the antenna spaceing of 1 wavelength. And also, the performance of 2-space transmission and 2-pattern diversity reception system, named 2 x 2-pattern diversity-space MIMO, which directive antennas have orthogonal radiation patterns each other in azimuth direction, is discussed. As the results, the effects for using 2 type orthogonality, spave and antenna directivity, in MIMO transmission are described.
