Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this research, the possibility of attentional blink improvement by the control of image features was investigated in the RSVP experiment which used the Kanji character stimulus. When the image features was analyzed from the DCT coefficient of presentation stimulation and the relation with attentional blink was considered, it was shown that the transitions of metrics in stimuli between target and distracters influenced the performance of attentional blink. Then, the amount of change of luminance and similarity in control conditions were defined as an optimal setting. Regarding the condition, the DCT coefficient of Kanji character stimulus was controlled. The possibility of attentional blink reduction was verified by RSVP task which used the stimulus. As a result, an reduction effect is examined in luminance control, but the effect by control of the similarity provides a result which changes with experimental conditions. So these results suggest that the control of luminance is effective for improvement of attentional blink .
