Analysis of Swing Motion in Forehand Stroke of Tennis based on Upper-limbs Joint Movement and Muscle Activity

(in English) In modern tennis, weight saving of a racket and improvement in repellence are progressing. The topspin hitting style which drives a ball is mainstream in the scene of a stroke. It has reported that movement which generates the swing speed in a forehand stroke is performed by shoulder internal rotation. We aimed at clarification of internal rotation mechanism in a forehand stroke objectively. Then we proposed how to evaluate the relationship between internal rotation and origin of muscle activity. Simultaneous measuring was carried out with three-dimensional operation and surface electromyogram. As a result, it became clear from a multiple linear regression analysis that the pectoralis major muscle is major in internal rotation.
