An intermittent control model of human motor control of target tracking task based on model predictive control framework

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Intermittent discontinuous velocity changes are often observed in human motor behavior, even in continuous visuo-manual tracking task. This suggests a possibility that some intermittent control structure is involved in human motor control. The present study proposes a model of intermittent motor control based on the framework of model predictive control (MPC), and examines its behavior through numerical simulations. The present article explains the concrete algorithm of motor planning and control of the proposed model and shows some preliminary results of numerical experiments.
