A Power Divider with Insensitivity to Resistance Values Using a Parallely-loaded Resistor Pair

(in English) In realizing an isolation resistor of the Wilkinson power divider by a resistance film, characteristics of the Wilkinson power divider frequently deteriorate, because a resistance changes by manufacturing errors. In this paper, a power divider with insensitivity to resistance values using a parallely-loaded resistor pair is presented. In the proposed divider, two resistors connected through 1/4-wavelength lines are placed between two output terminals. In case of changing resistance of two resistors by manufacturing errors, the characteristics of the proposed divider are stable, because a total resistance value of the resistor pair is little changed. The proposed divider is simulated and experimentally demonstrated in X-band. The return loss and isolation is lower than -20 dB in a bandwidth of 30% in the experiments.
