Interaction Modeling for Inference of Agency concering Motions of Abstract Representation
Suguru Watase, Yugo Takeuchi (Shizuoka Univ.) HCS2012-109
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Minimum design idea is applied to the design of a robot or agent capable of communicating with people. In order to communicate smoothly with the target that is not the human form, it is necessary to express the humanity by the behavior. For example, when you see an animation abstract representation to approaches or repels, in some cases, it seems as if the representation behaves with intention. For that reason, we infer that there is a model for the behavior human feel intention even if there is no humanity in appearance. We experimented that the subject interacts with the representation that approach and repel. We observed how the subject interacted with the behavior of an abstract representation. We guessed which intention does human recognize regarding a particular behavior.
