Positioning in wireless adhoc and sensor networks today relies on GPS, with justification that devices with mobility normally have built-in GPS capability. However, connectivity (virtual links) in most adhoc protocols is decided based on local exchange of messages rather than on GPS coordinates. This paper focuses on the actual connectivity and proposes a link-based network coordinate system for large-scale adhoc/sensor networks. |
