A Novel Imperfection Estimation Scheme of Baseband Feedback Loop for Multiband MIMO Receivers with Baseband AGC

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In a heterodyne multiband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) receiver for cognitive radios, a baseband automatic gain control (AGC) is known to be effective for avoidance of nonlinear distortions in analog-to-digital (A/D) converters. In fact, an analog devices imperfection estimation scheme for the heterodyne multiband MIMO receiver with the baseband AGC has been proposed. However, it was assumed that the analog devices were working ideally in a part of processing units. Therefore, this paper assumes that the analog devices in the feedback loop have the imperfections even when the imperfection of the Hilbert transformer is estimated, and proposes a novel imperfection estimation scheme that can work even in such a situation.
