Inter carrier interference reduction of OFDM system with a novel self-cancellation scheme

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The implementation of OFDM system has suffered with the problem of phase noise and frequency offset from local oscillator (LO), especially at the high frequency band. These problems destroy the orthogonaliy between subcarriers and causes inter carrier interference (ICI) in OFDM transmission system. In this paper, the novel self-cancellation (SC) scheme is proposed. The extended Kalman filter (EKF) is used to reduce ICI after the novel SC scheme. The new SC technique can be improve ICI level and improve the BER performance better than the conventional scheme. Moreover, this method can improve the bandwidth efficiency of SC scheme.
