In this report, we investigate the effects of network delay variation on haptic perception by the constant method for two types of work using haptic interface devices. In the first work, a user lifts a rigid cube in a 3D virtual space. In the second work, a user pushes a virtual spring. As a result, we illustrate that in both types of work, the perceived force after the network delay variation depends on the network delay before the variation, and the perceived network delay becomes larger as the network delay before the variation increases. |
